Invitation for Abstracts
The 5th International African Energy, Oil and Gas Summit (IAEOGS) 2026 invites abstracts submissions that contribute to advancing knowledge, policy, innovation, and investment across Africa’s energy and land governance sectors. The Summit will provide a premier platform for scholarly exchange, policy dialogue, industry engagement, and collaborative partnerships.
Summit Theme
“Igniting Africa’s Energy and Land Governance Futures”
As Africa positions itself as a strategic player in the global energy landscape, robust governance systems and innovative approaches will be essential to ensuring equitable and sustainable development outcomes. The 2026 Summit explores the critical intersections between energy development, investment, land governance, spatial planning, environmental sustainability, and inclusive socioeconomic growth.

Submissions may reflect conceptual, empirical, field-based, case-based, policy, review, or practice-based contributions aligned with the Summit’s theme focusing on (but not limited to) the following thematic areas:

All submissions will undergo a peer-review process coordinated by the Summit Scientific and Academic Committee. We encourage submissions from academics and researchers, industry professionals, energy practitioners, government officials and regulators, development partners, consultants and policy analysts, civil society organisations, and postgraduate students. Provides contact details for the corresponding author and full names for all author(s), institutional affiliation(s) and email addresses.
Post-conference Publication
Authors of all abstracts considered for presentation would be encouraged to submit full papers for peer-review and publication in an upcoming Special Issue of the same theme, ‘Igniting Africa’s Energy and Land Governance Futures’, in the Journal of Land Use Policy (Elsevier).
