UAE’s AD Ports Group Eyes Joint Development of Egypt’s Strategic Oil Storage Network
AD Ports Group has signed a memorandum of understanding to explore joint operation and development of Egypt’s strategic crude oil storage facilities, highlighting the UAE company’s commitment to expanding its integrated business model in one of its largest overseas markets. The potential collaboration involves Egypt’s critical energy infrastructure, strategically positioned to serve both domestic and international markets.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Al Mutawa, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, alongside Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum officials Nasser Shoman and Mahmoud Farrag Omran from TCM Project Management. The partnership aims to integrate AD Ports Group’s operational expertise and digital capabilities with Egypt’s established energy infrastructure.
Since 2022, AD Ports Group has announced approximately $469 million in investment commitments in Egypt, making it one of the company’s core international markets alongside Spain. The Group’s five business clusters spanning ports, maritime, logistics, economic zones, and digital solutions are positioned to deliver integrated solutions driving economic growth and technological advancement.
The crude oil storage facilities are expected to play a pivotal role in regional energy security, supply chain resilience, and facilitating international crude oil trade flows across the region.
