Shelf Drilling Secures Two-Year Nigerian Contract Extension

Dubai-based Shelf Drilling has announced a two-year contract extension for the Adriatic I jack-up rig with Conoil Producing Limited in Nigeria, extending a successful partnership that has lasted over eight years.

The extension, which commenced earlier in 2025, will run through early 2027, with an additional one-year option potentially extending the contract into 2028. This demonstrates the continued strength of Nigeria’s offshore drilling market and long-term client relationships.

Shelf Drilling, founded in 2012, has established itself as a leader in shallow water offshore drilling across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, India, West Africa, the Mediterranean and North Sea regions. The company is incorporated under Cayman Islands law with headquarters in Dubai and trades on the Oslo Stock Exchange under ticker “SHLF”.
