Oceaneering Lands Major $80-90 Million ROV Contract in Angola
Engineering services company Oceaneering International has secured a substantial three-year contract with Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited, an ExxonMobil affiliate, to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services and subsea solutions for offshore operations in Angola’s Block 15.
The contract, valued between $80 million and $90 million, encompasses deployment of multiple work-class ROVs, specialized ROV tooling, intervention workover control systems, and satellite communication systems for subsea inspection, hydrate remediation, and engineering services.
“This award reflects both our in-country capabilities for subsea robotics and intervention services and our continued growth in a strategically important region,” stated Martin McDonald, Senior Vice President-Subsea Robotics at Oceaneering International.
The contract reinforces Angola’s position as a key market for advanced subsea technologies and demonstrates continued international investment in the country’s offshore energy sector.
