NOC and Schlumberger Partner with Omar Al-Mukhtar University to Advance Oil and Energy Education
The National Oil Corporation and Schlumberger have signed a memorandum of understanding with Omar Al-Mukhtar University to support scientific research, empower national cadres, and enhance the skills of students in disciplines related to oil and energy sciences, particularly geology and earth sciences.
The agreement aims to strengthen partnership and cooperation among the signatories by supporting academic, training, and research programs, as well as promoting sustainable development in Libya’s energy sector, according to a statement published by the NOC on its Facebook page on Thursday.
Under the agreement, Schlumberger will provide advanced technical systems and software for oil and gas exploration and production, along with specialized training programs to improve the educational process by linking theoretical knowledge with modern practical applications.
