Libya’s NOC Records Highest Oil Production in a Decade
Libya’s National Oil Corporation has achieved a historic milestone, recording the highest average crude oil production rate in ten years at 1.374 million barrels per day in 2025. The remarkable achievement represents total crude oil production of 501 million barrels for the year, demonstrating the success of NOC’s strategic initiatives to boost production rates.
The corporation credited the outstanding performance to the dedicated efforts of employees across all production sites. Meanwhile, Akakus Oil Operations has significantly exceeded its daily crude-oil production target of 320,000 barrels, with actual output reaching approximately 796,325 barrels per day. The surge in production was attributed to technical upgrades and efficiency-focused projects that have been implemented despite limited resources and delayed budget releases.
