Libya’s National Oil Corporation Completes First Phase of Technical Training Initiative
Libya’s National Oil Corporation has successfully concluded the inaugural phase of its comprehensive capacity-building training program, focusing on critical technical aspects of the oil sector. The program, conducted in both Tripoli and Benghazi, covered reservoir engineering, geosciences, data management, and seismic data analysis.
Eighteen young trainees from various oil companies participated in the program, which represents a collaboration between NOC’s General Department for Training, Development, and Capacity Building and global company SLB. The initiative aims to build and prepare second-tier workforce capabilities in technical fields, supporting the Corporation’s strategic objectives of increasing production through human resource development.
The Director General of Training and Capacity Building emphasized the commitment of NOC leadership to implementing targeted training programs with specialized international companies. The program forms part of the Corporation’s strategic belief that human resource development constitutes one of its key operational pillars.
Future phases are scheduled across other cities, including southern regions, with expectations to reach 120 targeted trainees by the end of the third quarter this year.
