Kenya’s Hass Petroleum Eyes Strategic Partnership with Mozambique

Hass Petroleum Group Chairman Abdinasir Ali Hassan has revealed his company’s interest in creating partnerships with the Mozambican government in the electricity sector and extractive industry following a meeting with President Daniel Chapo.

Hassan described the discussion as very fruitful, exploring how to create partnerships with the governments of Oman and Mozambique in relation to energy and oil sector business. The Mozambican government expressed interest in starting cooperation with the oil company, with a second level of partnership discussions expected soon.

The Kenyan executive believes Mozambique is in a privileged position in southern and eastern Africa due to its ports that can serve landlocked countries in the hinterland, describing it as a central position and hub for business cooperation. Based in Nairobi, Hass Petroleum operates in more than 11 countries in East Africa and maintains offices in London and Dubai.
