Tinubu Hails Nigeria’s Entry Into World Energy Council

President Bola Tinubu has welcomed Nigeria’s formal admission as the newest National Member Committee of the World Energy Council, calling it a major step in the country’s push to take part in global energy policy discussions. Membership gives Nigeria a platform to engage with other countries, share expertise and access resources to support its energy sector.

The World Energy Council counts more than 90 member countries, including many of the world’s largest energy producers and consumers. Officials say the membership should help Nigeria keep pace with emerging energy trends while boosting the country’s standing as a serious player in global energy policy.
