NESR Strengthens Position in Libya with Over $100 Million in Service Contracts
Oilfield services firm National Energy Services Reunited has significantly strengthened its role in Libya’s oil sector following the successful securing of more than $100 million in service contracts across North Africa in recent months.
NESR Chairman and CEO Sherif Foda highlighted that the company has carefully studied global markets and is focused on leveraging its technology and expertise to support large-scale sector development in Libya. “We’ve looked in the region, looked at the best stock markets in the world and aim to progress ourselves as an enabling, regional energy company that supports development at scale,” Foda stated.
Throughout 2025, the company secured multiple production services contracts in both Libya and Algeria, with a combined value exceeding $100 million. The contracts, spanning a three-to-five-year period, align with the company’s broader strategy to expand existing operations and consolidate its North African market presence.
Beyond technology and expertise, Foda emphasized NESR’s commitment to local operations, noting that the company maintains 100 percent national crews in Libya. This approach demonstrates the firm’s dedication to supporting local workforce development while delivering international-standard oilfield services to Libya’s expanding petroleum sector.
