Arabian Gulf Oil Company Achieves Major Production Breakthrough at Hamada Field
The Arabian Gulf Oil Company has significantly enhanced productivity at its Hamada field well O5-NC8, boosting output to 692 barrels per day while dramatically reducing water cut from 90% to 18% following an extensive rehabilitation process utilizing advanced technologies. The achievement was accomplished in partnership with Schlumberger, with the Production Engineering Department at Arabian Gulf Oil Company overseeing the entire enhancement process.
Ahmed Al-Areebi, head of the company’s media office, highlighted that the improvement aligns with the National Oil Corporation’s strategy to increase production levels and ensure sustainable operation of national resources. The success demonstrates the effectiveness of combining highly skilled national expertise with cutting-edge international technologies in Libya’s oil sector.
