Libya’s NOC Partners with University to Strengthen Petroleum Education
Libya’s National Oil Corporation and the University of Benghazi are deepening cooperation in petroleum sciences, training, and technology transfer to strengthen the country’s energy expertise and academic capabilities. NOC Chairman Eng. Masoud Suleiman met with university officials to discuss joint initiatives aimed at advancing petroleum education and localizing technical knowledge.
The collaboration includes NOC’s support for implementing an electronic archiving project, supporting digital transformation programs, and establishing new classrooms. Both parties explored NOC’s potential role in funding the second phase of the archiving initiative, which would electronically connect faculties with central administration, modernizing management systems.
The partnership underscores growing alignment between Libya’s energy sector and higher education institutions as the country works to develop the skilled workforce needed to sustain its vital energy industry.
