Libya’s NOC and AGOCO Chart Strategic Vision for 2026 Exploration Activities
The National Oil Corporation’s Exploration Department conducted a comprehensive two-day meeting with the Arabian Gulf Oil Company to discuss recent developments in exploration activities and develop a strategic vision for 2026 plans.
The meeting, attended by AGOCO Chairman Mohamed Ben Shatwan and committee members for exploration, production, and information, focused on boosting oil reserves and increasing national production rates. Ben Shatwan praised the vital role exploration operations play in these objectives.
The NOC’s Exploration Department Director commended AGOCO’s efforts, particularly highlighting the launch of seismic surveys in blocks 56 and 57, considered among the most significant exploration projects recently initiated by the company. The National Oil Corporation has also announced a specialized training program covering reservoir engineering, geosciences, data management, and seismic data, supervised by the NOC’s General Department of Training in cooperation with Schlumberger.
