Kazakhstan Offers Technical Expertise to Boost Nigeria’s Oil Transportation
Nigeria has expressed strong interest in obtaining Kazakhstan’s advanced oil and gas transportation expertise, both overland and maritime, during meetings between Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov and Nigerian traditional ruler Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. The Nigerian delegation specifically emphasized needs for state-of-the-art transportation methods and specialist training programs.
Minister Akkenzhenov responded positively, noting Kazakhstani companies possess the necessary capabilities for joint project participation. The potential cooperation would benefit Kazakhstan’s service sector while supporting overseas expansion objectives.
The engagement represents growing Kazakhstan-Africa relations, with recent agreements spanning Rwanda’s beryllium supplies to Kazatomprom and resumed grain exports to Morocco after a 16-year pause.
